About The Position

The Anesthesia Operations Manager provides direct support to the Director of Anesthesia Services and/or the Anesthesia Medical Director(s) by assisting with operational and administrative activities. This role requires the ability to handle multiple projects and engage in strategic planning with the leadership team to establish and reach company annual goals. The manager will oversee daily operational activities and maximize the operational efficiency of the anesthesia department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a course concentration in Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years healthcare management experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively collaborate with various clinical staff and other disciplines.
  • Ability to interact with team members, patients, physicians, and visitors with courtesy and respect.
  • Ability to implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to resolve escalated issues arising from operations and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, organization, multitasking, meeting deadlines, professionalism, and adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Constantly performs tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as keyboard skills.
  • Constantly able to concentrate on minimal detail with little, minimal, and/or constant interruptions.
  • Constantly communicates with employees, providers, team-mates, and others.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel sensation to discern temperature, texture, size, and shape.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Travel as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Support operational leadership across the organization in Information Technology, Human Resources, and Finance.
  • Perform personnel functions including supervising, interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Track staffing requirements and coordinate monthly staff schedules.
  • Assist with biweekly payroll.
  • Assist with anesthesia integration project plans.
  • Work collaboratively with anesthesia vendors.
  • Participate in required educational programs and net learning.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and other leadership meetings as required.
  • Seek ongoing professional educational growth.
