We have an immediate opening for an Andrology Laboratory Technician to join our team at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York in Brooklyn, New York. Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays and the ability to float to the Westside and Eastside Manhattan locations as needed Compensation: $24.00 per hour This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related science field required
- Experience in a laboratory setting required
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in handling human tissue and following strict laboratory protocols is strongly preferred
- Proficiency using MS Office, patient EMR systems and ROCHE systems is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine sperm and blood analysis by receiving specimens from patients and/or staff
- Accession samples
- Perform procedures and ensure results are reported accurately
- Perform quality control procedures and maintain equipment
- Ensure laboratory quality assurance and quality control programs meet all requirements and industry standards as established by qualified outside agencies
