About The Position

IVI RMA North America is looking for a Temporary Andrology Lab Technician to work every other weekend for approximately 3-4 months to cover a leave of absence. The role involves specimen handling, processing, reporting, and maintaining patient records with a strong emphasis on attention to detail. The technician will perform Andrology and Endocrine laboratory services according to the Laboratory Procedure Manual, providing precise and accurate results for infertility assessment and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science or related field.
  • Ability to operate laboratory equipment, hormone analyzers and microscopes.
  • Excel at Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 6 months’ laboratory training towards degree or experience in a clinical or research lab.
  • Electronic Medical Records experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory.
  • Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies; documents all quality control activities, as well as all instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
  • Follows the laboratory’s policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established, acceptable levels of performance.
  • Studies and remains current and knowledgeable with the Laboratory Operating Manual regarding quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures and operating guidelines for performing all assigned laboratory services.
  • Holds a comprehensive understanding of and follow all OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operations to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
  • Assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows practice, physician and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations.
  • Works cooperatively with the Company multidisciplinary teams to provide good patient care and achieves the objectives and goals of the practice.
  • Maintains patient confidence and protect operations by keeping all patient and proprietary information confidential. Adheres to signed HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.
