About The Position

Grid is seeking an Android Engineer to join their team and help build and scale core product lines. The role involves working closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to create user experiences. With access to robust datasets, products, and clear objectives, the engineer will have a significant impact on Grid's business progress and user success. The team is focused on serving users and building a robust business, offering high levels of autonomy and ownership, and valuing curiosity, learning, and growth. The tech stack includes Kotlin, Jetpack compose, Firebase, Dagger Hilt DI, GCP, Go, protobufs, BigQuery, and MySQL. The company has invested in data warehousing, streaming analytics infrastructure, and offline data cleanliness.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of app development experience
Product and Customer Oriented: Disciplined approach to development, testing, and quality assurance
Autonomy and Initiative: Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects, showcasing a proactive approach to identifying key leverage points for data products
Curiosity and Optimism: Constantly asking why the world around them works the way it does, and who have the will to change it
Self Starter: Confidence to prioritize work and delivery demonstrable results on a tight cadence
Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience or understanding of the financial industry, especially in the context of building and scaling FinTech products
3+ years of experience building in a startup environment
