About The Position

As an Android Developer, you will contribute to building modern, high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. You will take ownership of well-defined features and help deliver intuitive, accessible, and performant user experiences aligned with our design systems and engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for building UI
  • Understanding of modern Android architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM or similar)
  • Familiarity with writing unit tests and/or UI tests for Android applications
  • Awareness of accessibility fundamentals in mobile development
  • Understanding of version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to follow coding standards and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with design systems, component libraries, or design tokens
  • Familiarity with analytics tracking frameworks or event instrumentation
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines or mobile release processes
  • Experience leveraging AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) in development workflows

  • Contributions to personal, academic, or open-source mobile projects

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior engineers to translate product requirements into clean, functional UI using Jetpack Compose and the existing design system
  • Build and maintain UI screens and reusable components using Compose, following established component libraries and design tokens
  • Write readable, maintainable, and testable Kotlin code aligned with team coding standards and design patterns
  • Implement analytics instrumentation for new and existing features in line with established naming conventions and schemas
  • Apply accessibility best practices (TalkBack, content descriptions, touch target sizing) to ensure inclusive user experiences
  • Write unit tests and UI tests to validate feature functionality and quality
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity and code quality in day-to-day tasks
  • Participate actively in code reviews, contributing feedback and incorporating input from peers with a growth mindset
  • Take ownership of small, well-scoped features from development through testing and delivery with guidance from senior engineers
