About The Position

We are looking for an Android Framework Architect to join Tieto Tech Consulting. This role involves working closely with one of the world’s leading automotive Tier 1 companies, utilizing state-of-the-art software and hardware and the latest technologies in the automotive industry.

Requirements

Proven Android Framework architecture experience
Strong understanding of various domains like Audio, Camera, Display etc. and other subsystems
Understanding of the full Android stack, including the Linux kernel, the Android ecosystem and Android debugging
Experience working in hypervisor-based multi-VM solutions with understanding of communication and dependencies between Virtual Machines
Hands-on development experience in Android native services or Linux user space
Strong knowledge of C/C++
Good analytical and communication skills
Ability to defend well-justified solutions in architectural discussions
Fluent in English
Open to work across various time zones, especially the US East Coast (+6h)

Nice To Haves

Experience in Automotive projects across the entire lifecycle from design to manufacturing support
Experience in any of the following: hypervisor configuration, shared device drivers development using virtio, Linux drivers, Android BSP, Device Tree configuration and RTOS development

Responsibilities

Design optimal platform architecture for customer products
Work with the Platform architecture team to evaluate and drive optimal solutions for customer products
Design and develop Android based e-Cockpit solutions
Address diverse architecture topics across the entire platform on the Android level
Communicate with internal stakeholders and within the architect team
