About The Position
Build and maintain Android features for Home Protection experiences. Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Contribute to app architecture, design discussions, and high-leverage technical decisions. Write clean, maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks, while utilizing cross-platform frameworks where appropriate. Implement and expand dynamic, Spec-Driven Development (SDD) rendering frameworks to deliver backend-driven mobile UI. Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across hardware/software integration layers. Debug and resolve complex production and connectivity issues. Participate in code reviews and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development (SDD) or building UI frameworks driven dynamically by backend JSON schemas.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing complex client-side state logic.
- Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architecture patterns.
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Professional experience or deep familiarity with Flutter and Dart for cross-platform mobile development.
- Experience building smart home, IoT, hardware activation, or physical device orchestration workflows.
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern Android development tools.
- Understanding of Android permissions, privacy constraints, and app lifecycles.
- Experience building or maintaining large-scale consumer applications.
