About The Position
New York Institute of Technology’s Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking an Anatomy Lab Manager to ensure the seamless operation of day-to-day activities in the anatomy laboratory. The position reports directly to the chairperson of the Department of Biomedical and Anatomical Sciences. It is eligible for a hybrid/remote work arrangement, with flexibility to work remotely and onsite in accordance with New York Tech’s remote work policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience working with cadavers.

- Background in Biological Sciences or Mortuary Science.
Responsibilities
- Oversee laboratory cleaning and maintenance to ensure compliance with NYIT and ASU laboratory requirements.
- Maintain the anatomy laboratory, including cleaning the laboratory space and equipment.
- Establish and supervise the Anatomical Gift Program, including meeting with potential donors and donor families.
- Maintain human anatomical specimens (cadavers).
- Create and maintain inventories of laboratory supplies and ensure timely reordering.
- Maintain all cadaver records.
- Communicate routinely with the campus biosafety officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee community outreach activities involving the laboratory.
- Assist faculty with oversight of laboratory sessions.
- Conduct formaldehyde safety training and monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and maintain student attendance records for anatomy courses.
