Anatomic Pathology Supervisor
About The Position
The Anatomic Pathology Supervisor will supervise the daily operations and specialized functions of the Anatomic Pathology (A.P.) Laboratories. This includes developing and maintaining instrument maintenance protocols, monitoring proper functioning of service equipment, and ensuring periodic maintenance as per the Procedural Manual. The role also involves developing and monitoring Quality Control and Quality Improvement Programs according to established Laboratory protocol, introducing new procedures, and reviewing/revising Procedure Manuals for accuracy and currency. Additionally, the supervisor will manage inventory and order supplies and equipment.
Requirements
- BS in Science or Biology required.
- One year in an approved program.
- Three to five years experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations and specialized functions of the Anatomic Pathology (A.P.) Laboratories.
- Develop and maintain instrument maintenance protocol.
- Monitor proper functioning of service equipment and their periodic maintenance as determined by Procedural Manual.
- Develop and monitor Quality Control and Quality Improvement Programs according to established Laboratory protocol.
- Introduce new procedures, review and revise Procedure Manuals to ensure all procedures are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain inventory and orders supplies and equipment.
