In this role, you’ll partner closely with pathologists and laboratory professionals to keep daily operations running smoothly - from coordinating send-out testing and distributing slides to managing logs, handling inquiries, and ensuring essential materials are organized and accessible.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Supports pathologists, pathologist assistants, and histotechnologists in all related duties in surgical pathology
• Handle ordering and packaging of send-out testing
• Gathering information for service and billing
• Slide distribution within the department
• Handling messages from pathologists regarding patient testing
• Answering phones
• Acting as a liaison for courier services
• Reconciling pending logs
• Pulling slides and blocks as needed/requested
• Managing temperature logs
• Limited instrument maintenance
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Ability to Prioritize/Organize/Handle Quantity of Work
