About The Position

This role provides maintenance craft specific support to Hahnville site process and lab analyzers and associated systems. The Analyzer Technician maintains and repairs all types of analyzer equipment within their craft knowledge and expertise. They participate on a maintenance team which supports reliability improvement across all Operations facilities. This position requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. The role also acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of operations experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Currently dual crafted or willing to obtain dual craft in instrumentation or electrician.
  • Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years direct field experience troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation or process analyzer systems in a chemical or petrochemical plant setting.
  • An Associate's degree or higher in a technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance craft specific support to Hahnville site process and lab analyzers and associated systems.
  • Maintain and repair all types of analyzer equipment within craft knowledge and expertise.
  • Participate on a maintenance team which supports reliability improvement across all Operations facilities.
  • Perform field maintenance repair.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude related to the repair and/or operation of chemical process equipment.
  • Work at grade as well as climb stairs, ladders, and access remote portions of a large chemical plant.
  • Work a base 40-hour schedule, with mandatory overtime required on an as-needed basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays depending on plant needs.
  • Be included on the site analyzer shop call-out list and promptly accept call-outs to come into the plant after hours to respond to emergency situations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Abide by all Dow procedures and safety protocols.
  • Use PPE as may be required for certain activities.
