About The Position

The Mundy Companies is hiring an Analyzer Technician for their Freeport Quality business unit in Freeport, TX. This role supports the Lab Services division by maintaining and servicing analyzer systems across the entire site. The position involves building a meaningful career while contributing to essential site operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • One year of craft experience required (preferably as an Analyzer Technician).
  • Experienced in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of online process analyzers.
  • Can read and update electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, P&IDs and online diagrams.
  • Good working knowledge of chemical plant equipment and technologies.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, personal computer skills, and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated math, reading and problem-solving skills along with mechanical aptitude.
  • Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required.
  • Must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen and other qualifications as required.

Nice To Haves

  • AAS Degree in Electronics, Electricity or Instrumentation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and scheduled maintenance and repair, as well as preventive maintenance and calibration of Process Analyzers.
  • Document all appropriate Process Analyzer activities.
  • Interact with Plant Operations to ensure that the plant’s analytical needs are met.
  • Support EHS in compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements while promoting a safe working environment.
  • Work in a team with other Analyzer technicians to perform routine, extraordinary, and turnaround activities.
  • Adhere to high standards of productivity, quality, teamwork, housekeeping, and safety.
  • Track and update assigned tasks in maintenance management system on a regular basis.
  • Be available for maintenance on call.
  • May be required to work with and around materials that are considered hazardous by OSHA using personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
