The Analytics Engineer plays a key role in owning and evolving our data infrastructure and business intelligence capabilities. This role is responsible for managing and optimizing our existing data pipelines while helping scale and mature our data architecture to support growing business needs. Xtrm is growing rapidly, and we are investing in a modern data ecosystem to support strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who is driven, highly capable, and excited by the opportunity to work with modern cloud tools while shaping the future of our data environment.

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, or Python Developer working heavily with data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write scripts and perform complex database queries.
  • Experience building dashboards in Power BI and strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with US-based teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data critically and validate results.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while taking ownership of responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Databricks, PySpark, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience working remotely with US or international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of existing ETL/ELT data pipelines using Python and SQL, ensuring reliability and scalability.
  • Run, manage, and schedule data workflows in cloud platforms such as Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Develop Python scripts to extract, clean, and process data from various APIs using libraries such as pandas and requests.
  • Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries to support data modeling and reporting needs.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track key business metrics.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis using Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and advanced data manipulation.
  • Collaborate directly with US-based leadership and operations teams to understand reporting needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Translate complex data into clear, meaningful visualizations that support business decision-making.
