About The Position

Reddit is seeking a talented and driven Analytics Engineer to join its Analytics Engineering team within the Data Science organization. The role works closely with Data Scientists and Engineers across Consumer, Ads, and Marketing to curate, develop, and deploy data and analytics tooling that supports Reddit’s product and provides a durable foundation for the organization. The work helps colleagues improve the user experience and grow Reddit’s consumer base. The position sits at the intersection of Data Science and Data Engineering. The successful candidate will care deeply about how data supports business goals and act as an effective conduit between data producers and consumers. The role involves developing and managing trustworthy data products, pipelines, integrations, quality initiatives, and internal tools, while helping shape Reddit’s data foundations strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a quantitative educational field.
At least 3 years of experience working with large-scale ETL systems, including implementation, strategy, and maintenance, and building clean, maintainable code and systems in a production environment; Python is preferred.
Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Scala, or similar technologies.
Experience with data modeling, ETL and ELT concepts, and patterns for efficient data governance.
Experience manipulating massive-scale structured and unstructured data.
Experience with data workflows such as Airflow, data modeling, and front-end or back-end engineering.
Experience in data analysis and dashboard design.
Deep understanding of technical and functional designs for relational and MPP databases.
Proven ability to execute and collaborate cross-functionally.
Experience with agentic AI-assisted development.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels and with varying levels of technical expertise.
Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

Contribute to and collaborate on data quality, performance, reliability, and automation initiatives.
Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-quality, trustworthy data.
Develop and maintain robust pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, and transformation, working with Engineering to ensure pipeline quality and reliability.
Develop data quality checks, conduct QA, and implement monitoring routines.
Create and manage data integrations across internal and external systems.
Create internal tools and applications to streamline data analysis and reporting, and drive their adoption with a focus on automation, consistency, and reliability.
Serve as a thought partner to Data Scientists, Engineering Managers, and leadership on data foundations, and communicate and shape the data foundations roadmap and strategy for Reddit.
