Analytics Engineer II
About The Position
The Analytics Engineer II (multiple positions) at Republic Services, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona will assist in the design, development, maintenance, and continuous refinement of analytics and reporting solutions. Responsible for ETL processes, data warehouses, cubes, dashboards, and model deployment. Stay up-to-date on the latest technology and implement proof-of concepts to stay ahead of technology demands of internal customers. Maintain system and tool documentation. Maintain and troubleshoot pricing optimization algorithms and rules-based pricing recommendations for new and existing customers. Collaborate with internal customers, analysts, developers, data scientists, and database administrators. Provide underlying data support for business metrics. Write ETL scripts using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or similar tools to consume and process new data into the data warehouse. Design and build automated processes that leverage Excel, SQL, and VBA to facilitate data transfer across teams. Design dashboards and tools to allow users to consume and interact with data. Implement in-database machine learning solutions using SQL Server and R or Python. Ensure security and integrity across all data. Troubleshoot and debug issues. Telecommuting permitted as business needs allow up to 5 days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics or related analytical field plus three years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related occupation.
- Three years of experience in programming in SQL and R or Python.
- Three years of experience deploying analytics models and tools in a production environment with relational databases.
