About The Position

Inpria Corporation, a JSR company, has an immediate opening for an Analytical Technician based in Corvallis, OR. You will join our diverse team of talent and contribute directly to both our R&D and Manufacturing Operations teams by performing chemical QC analyses to ensure product quality. Your experience in analyzing high-purity chemicals, managing data, and interacting with other chemists and engineers will help fuel our company’s growth, support our key customers, and provide you with opportunities to expand your career. This position will support weekend (either Saturday or Sunday) operations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or BS in Chemistry or relevant related discipline.
  • Analytical chemistry coursework including laboratory work or equivalent industrial laboratory experience.
  • Chemical sample preparation and quantitative analysis.
  • Written and verbal technical communication.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment (responsiveness and flexibility).
  • Detail oriented and safety minded.
  • Teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Continuous quality and process improvement.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Self-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with basic analytical instruments and software (ChemStation, MassHunter, or Qtegra) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of handling air-sensitive reagents in a glovebox is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine QC testing on reagents, in-process samples, and finished goods by following documented work instructions under the direction of senior chemists and technicians. (including but not limited to GC-MS, IC-MS, ICPOES, density, titrations, KF, RI, turbidity, outgassing, flash point, and contact angle).
  • Prepare analytical standards and samples for wet-bench and instrumental analyses.
  • Prepare spin-coated wafers for analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain lab equipment as needed, following documented procedures.
  • Send out analytical samples to external labs.
  • Regularly update lab inventory (chemicals and consumables).
  • Frequently communicate and engage with a diverse team of chemists, engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Demonstrate consistent techniques and maintain a clean, safe lab workspace.
  • Analyze data and present findings to the technical team.
  • Enter the QC data to QMS system and monitor SPC charts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
