About The Position

As an Analytical Technician, you will report to the Analytical and RM Lab Manager to perform a variety of routine chemical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. This role involves performing analysis and tests on samples to verify conformity to specifications, recording test results, and organizing quality records. You will also compile and interpret statistical data, ensure accuracy and integrity of tests, and operate laboratory equipment. Maintaining housekeeping and adhering to safety policies are also key aspects of this position. Additionally, you will evaluate retains of production batches in response to quality complaints and support Quality Control initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum of two-year technical degree preferred.
• Two years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and tests of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products samples of manufactured/intermediate products to verify conformity to specifications.
• Records test results on batch tickets and in company’s computer operating system.
• Organizes and maintains quality records and retains of production/intermediate batches and raw materials.
• Compiles, interprets, and documents statistical data from testing processes to either confirm compliance with established quality standards or identify deviations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of tests.
• Sets up, adjusts, verifies, and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Maintain housekeeping of the working place.
• Respect the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Policy.
• Evaluates retains of production batches in response to quality complaints.
• Performs 5S audits or other audits according to a plan.
• Support all Quality Control related One PPG initiatives.
