About The Position

Eurofins BPT-Columbia is seeking an Entry Level Analytical Scientist to join their growing Biochemistry team. This role is ideal for early-career scientists looking to gain hands-on laboratory experience with industry-leading instrumentation, solve analytical challenges, and work in a team environment. The position offers exposure to analytical testing techniques, regulatory laboratory practices, and industry-standard instrumentation within a regulated laboratory setting, contributing to product development and safety. The scientist will perform laboratory testing, generate and document scientific data according to GMP and GLP, operate and maintain analytical instruments like HPLC and GC, prepare samples and solutions, and record observations. Collaboration with teams to ensure quality and efficiency, and maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or another related scientific discipline
  • Ability to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Academic or industry experience with HPLC, GC, or other analytical instrumentation
  • Exposure to GLP, GMP, or regulated laboratory environments
  • Familiarity with LIMS or electronic laboratory documentation systems
  • Laboratory coursework, internships, undergraduate research, or industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing following established methods, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Generate, review, and document scientific data in accordance with GMP and GLP requirements
  • Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC and GC systems
  • Prepare samples, reagents, standards, and laboratory solutions
  • Accurately record observations and experimental results
  • Support ongoing studies and projects by following established procedures and timelines
  • Collaborate with scientists and laboratory teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Contribute to a safe, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
