About The Position

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc., a global leader in chemical solutions for the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Lab Technician for 2nd shift operations at its North Kingstown, RI facility. This role involves performing a wide range of functional testing on advanced, high purity chemical products used in Semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include analytical/trace metal testing on various samples, including in-process production samples from Formulation, Packaging, and Research, as well as packaged finished goods. The technician will also assist in evaluating new test procedures, participate in gauge studies, and monitor instruments through Statistical Process Control.

Requirements

• Associates Degree (Chemical Technology)
• 2-5 years of technical laboratory experience
• Must be able to wear a respirator
• Proficient in computer skills
• Individual must be highly organized and work cohesively as part of cross functional teams
• Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment.
• One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is a plus but not necessary
• Experience with trace metal instrumentation (ICP, GFAA) though not required, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform the required functional testing on a wide range of samples utilizing standard operating procedures in support of production, engineering and R&D.
• Accurately record all data into the LIMS system.
• Assist in the transfer/evaluation of new products and test procedures through participation in gauge studies.
• Monitor all instruments through Statistical Process control.
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
