About The Position

The Analytical Lab Technician provides laboratory services for the support of research, development, and manufacturing activities mainly in a R&D environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing. These support services include the testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished polymeric foam products using instrumental, physical and wet chemistry techniques; documenting laboratory work in compliance with regulations; preparing and executing method validation protocols; and preparation of draft documents and technical reports.

Requirements

A minimum of Associate degree in science is required, preferably in Chemistry
5 years experience in an analytical laboratory
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, proportions, and ratios to practical situations.
Basic math skills, including basic statistics.

Responsibilities

Perform routine analysis on raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
Conducts scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration of equipment (i.e., GC/MS, HPLC, GPC, pH meter).
Prepare standards and sample solutions, mobile phase as required by the test methods.
Assist with training for routine tasks and established methods.
Upkeep and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
Participates in method development and validation.
Maintains appropriate documentation (records and lab notebooks).
Complies with all good housekeeping, cGMP and safety requirements, laboratory SOP's and company policies and procedures.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
