As an Analytical Instrument Technician, you will provide comprehensive analytical equipment support to our customers (internal and external). Requirements

  • A minimum of a BS in chemistry or chemical engineering, (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years’ experience in quality or analytical testing in an industrial environment.
  • Aptitude in organic analysis with chromatography (like GC, GPC, HPLC etc.) and spectroscopy (like IR, NMR etc.).
  • Previously demonstrated high levels of initiative, innovation, and analytical ability.
  • Experience in maintenance/service of analytical equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to train others in the use of analytical equipment or new processes/procedures.
  • Excellent communication of technical and operational activities verbally and in writing, with an ability to influence from a distance.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Innovative self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills and an analytical background.
  • Minimum 5 years related industrial experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytical instrument technical support for QC, acting as a point person for ensuring Preventive Maintenance and routine maintenance are conducted, resolving instrument issues and overseeing repairs by vendors.
  • Perform quality reviews and support the development of QC test methods.
  • Develop and support plant and lab instrumentation to improve quality.
  • Use superior communication skills to prepare and deliver technical reports to Ingevity’s support team.
  • Flourish in an environment where the pace is fast and the expectations are high.
  • Work on several projects simultaneously and prioritize business impact.
  • Support safety program to include safety activities in all aspects of the job.
