Analytical Chemist
About The Position
Analyst with be responsible for performing extractions and determining extractable materials using various analytical techniques. Individual will be responsible for defect and contamination analysis utilizing various laboratory techniques. Individual will be able to operate FTIR, Microscopes (Bench top and SEM), GCMS and other analytical equipment. As time allows, individual will be cross-trained in our Physical Measurement Laboratory testing paper samples utilizing a variety of specialized equipment. Individual will be responsible for preparing and testing the samples. Once trained in procedures, individual will require minimal supervision and manage work flow in assigned laboratories. Must be able to write customer reports on requests. Individual will be responsible for proactively monitoring and maintaining laboratory systems and facilitating any outside contractors if needed in these areas. Individual must comply with all safety protocols of facility/International paper.
Requirements
- BS in Chemistry area or equivalent
- Action Oriented, Customer Focus, Interpersonal Skills, Dealing with Ambiguity, Time Management and Organizational Skills
- Detailed work ethic

Responsibilities
