The Analytical Chemist will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on various substances to support research, development, and quality control activities under the direction of the Laboratory General Manager.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or related science field
  • 3 –5 years of experience in a commercial lab setting.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
  • GC and GCMSMS experience highly preferred.
  • Comfortability with applying tests from USP and FCC monographs
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., ChemStation, Empower) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in testing supplements and nutraceticals is a plus!
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory requirements is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Executing established laboratory chemistry procedures to provide accurate and prompt chemistry data to clients.
  • Perform analytical chemistry testing using various instrumentation such as: GCFID, HPLC, ICPMS, GCMSMS
  • Assist, oversee, and mentor Lab Techs to help them advance in their chemistry career.
  • Reviewing and approving QC data within parameters of precision and accuracy.
  • Maintaining complete and accurate chemistry documentation of activities in compliance with the Quality System.
  • Preparing stock standards and reagents as needed, performing dilutions of samples and solutions, weighing stock compounds, preparing standard and fortification solutions, and calibrating preparation of primary analytical methods.
  • Perform routine maintenance and follow preventative maintenance schedules on various instrumentation.
  • Notifying chemistry supervisor and taking appropriate actions for non-conformances. Participate in corrective action process.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of laboratory equipment and chemicals.
