The mission we are proposing:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Analyst ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial information by performing the analyses necessary for decision-making. He or she ensures the proper valuation of inventory and production costs, contributes to month-end processes, and produces periodic financial reports. The incumbent also supports financial forecasting and auditing activities, while participating in the continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or accounting, with at least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience; or College diploma in accounting or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience ideally gained in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (advanced level)
• Bilingualism required (French and English)

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the AS400 system (an asset)

Responsibilities

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure their accuracy
• Optimize accounting processes and strengthen internal management controls
• Support the commercial team in the operational management and monitoring of customer inventories, including maintaining and validating data in customer systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational information
• Maintain up-to-date tracking of capital expenditures (CAPEX) by project to ensure adequate financial visibility
• Record supplier discounts in accordance with current contractual agreements
• Participate in the preparation and execution of the annual financial statement audit
• Perform month-end reconciliations related to inventory reserves, credits, and invoicing
• Contribute to the implementation and optimization of financial systems
• Participate in the closing of accounting periods
• Comply with company policies and procedures (OHS, GMP, dress code, etc.)
• Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor as operational needs arise
