About The Position

Rio Tinto is seeking an Analyst – Workforce Management and HR Systems to support HR data quality, workforce tracking, and system utilization for operations. This role acts as a liaison between operational teams, human resources, and key partners like finance, payroll, and employee services. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to process rigor, data reliability, and workforce decision-making. Reporting to the plant director, the role operates on a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Hold a DEC or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as administration, human resources, accounting, or any related field.
  • Experience in a role related to data management, operational analysis, workforce, or HR support.
  • Excellent analytical skills, rigor, and ease in working with data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate with various partners, and play a support and advisory role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday, PSoft, Khronos, SAP, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, workforce management, or workforce budgeting.
  • Experience in a unionized environment or in supporting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a constant commitment to safety for yourself and your team.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of workforce data in various systems, including Workday, SAP, and PSoft.
  • Produce, analyze, and interpret reports related to workforce, hours worked, and workforce budgets.
  • Support the monthly tracking of the workforce plan, forecasts, and hiring requests in collaboration with HR and operational teams.
  • Act as a liaison with key partners, including finance, payroll, employee services, and centers of expertise.
  • Support the implementation of changes related to processes, systems, and workforce management with operational teams.
  • Support the application of certain rules and processes related to unionized positions, in accordance with current collective agreements.
