About The Position

CAA-Québec is looking for a functional analyst to join the IT Business Relations team, in an Agile environment focused on best practices. As part of various projects, you will analyze user needs and contribute to identifying the most suitable solutions for business sectors. You will collaborate closely with development teams and participate in functional testing to ensure solutions comply with requirements. You will hold a full-time position (35 hours per week) in a hybrid remote work setting with travel twice a week to our Montreal or Quebec City office.

Requirements

  • College or university degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, software engineering, or equivalent (or a combination of degree and relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in functional analysis, preferably in ERP, CRM, HRIS, ESM, or similar software solutions contexts
  • Strong ability to write functional or business logic files, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Experience in supporting project teams during development and testing
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Good command of French (advanced)
  • Functional English proficiency
  • Team spirit, commitment, and conviviality
  • Ability to listen, understand needs, and propose adapted solutions
  • Strong communication, synthesis, and prioritization skills
  • Autonomy, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and results-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and formalize user needs to propose the most suitable solutions with the help of project teams (architecture advisors, business analysts, developers, and system analysts)
  • Document detailed functional specifications of existing systems to facilitate their integration into new systems
  • Lead needs gathering workshops with business sectors and document them to establish and prioritize the project team's deliverable list
  • Produce diagrams
  • Contribute to the development of test plans and manual and automated scenarios
  • Define and perform functional tests
  • Support project teams for other required test types (integration, acceptance, unit, etc.)
  • Act as a reference for development teams for all functional aspects
  • Act as a resource person for developers, analysts, and various stakeholders
  • Participate in working sessions with project teams
