About The Position

Rotec International is seeking a strategic financial role within a solid Quebec SME experiencing strong international expansion. Specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-end medical beds since 1985, Rotec International is known for its innovation and its mission to improve the quality of life for patients, healthcare staff, and caregivers. This is a newly created position due to growth and organizational transformation. The Financial and Accounting Analyst will report directly to the Vice President of Finance and will work within a small, dynamic, and stable team. This key role offers a direct career path towards taking full responsibility for the company's accounting functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (CPA designation is an asset).
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent) and excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Proven mastery of cost of goods sold analysis and management accounting.
  • Field approach: Ability to immerse oneself in the reality of the plants and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Autonomy and rigor: Sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly identify and communicate issues.
  • Communication: Ability to simplify financial information and adapt discourse to various audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the management, monitoring, and optimization of cost of goods sold and manufacturing costs.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze financial and operational performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Proactively interact with production teams to analyze operational flows and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct strategic financial analyses to support management decision-making.
  • Act as the financial point of contact for the ERP implementation project (Oracle NetSuite).
  • Participate in the review, validation, and optimization of the accounting structure and general ledgers.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data, the implementation of internal controls, and the standardization of processes.
  • Support the completion of the full accounting cycle and participate in monthly and annual closings.
  • Monitor administrative and financial practices to ensure their efficiency.
