About The Position

The Retirement Partners team within LPL’s Wealth Management (WM) group is responsible for delivering a highly competitive set of retirement solutions for retirement and wealth advisors. The Retirement Analyst plays a key role within the Retirement Partners team, supporting the development, management, and continuous enhancement of individual retirement platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of previous experience in data management or analytics
  • Progress or Interest in pursuing CPFA, AIF or equivalent designation
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, especially Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint (CRM use a plus)
  • Ability to partner closely and establish good working relationships for team projects and collaboration with other business units.
  • A demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet goals
  • A passion for improving processes so they can be followed easily and lead to excellent results
  • Self-motivated team player
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Goal-oriented, self-directed individual who can work independently and in a team setting.
  • Good communications skills both oral and written
  • Must have a strong customer service focus

Responsibilities

  • Support the growth and ongoing management of the individual retirement platforms working in collaboration with cross functional departments
  • Regularly exercise excellent business judgment and research and resolve operational issues
  • Enable continuous improvement & oversight of core functionality for the custodial retirement accounts
  • Engage with advisors to resolve setup and operational issues in a way that is inclusive to holistic wealth management business.
  • Exhibit understanding of the financial services industry and a willingness to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-driven environment
  • Support and collaborate with colleagues and leverage opportunities to increase individual knowledge about the retirement space in support of business initiatives and advisor/client success
  • Jointly participate in project, oversight & task assignments with other team members to gain experience in policies and procedures related to the facilitation of proposals, onboarding new business, and managing provider relationships in support of sales
  • Assume responsibility of less complex projects & tasks while developing fundamental concepts, practices and procedures
  • Regularly exercise excellent business judgment; research and resolve departmental issues that increase efficiency
  • Maintenance of accurate and current documentation where appropriate and work with appropriate parties to ensure timely deliverables
  • Pro-active communication with all responsible parties for updates and reporting
  • Become accomplished in use of all relevant department tools and resources
