About The Position

Rhapsody Venture Partners is seeking an Analyst to identify and nurture early-stage, sustainability-oriented, hard-tech startups. The role involves fostering collaborations between these startups and industry partners to accelerate the transition of innovations from lab to market. Rhapsody operates an innovation ecosystem, connecting leading corporations with startups and universities. The Analyst will engage with startups, facilitate partnership discussions, conduct industry and technology research to inform investment decisions, support structured programs with large companies and startups, and potentially undertake operational roles within portfolio companies.

Requirements

• Graduate of a top school with a degree in engineering or applied science.
• Curiosity and ability to engage in purposeful conversations with startup founders.
• Comfortable in the world of science and engineering.
• Interest in hard-tech innovations rather than software or app innovations.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with broad autonomy.
• Ability to make decisions quickly.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential startup investments for the Rhapsody portfolio.
• Facilitate partnership discussions between startups and industry partners.
• Conduct in-depth industry and technology research to support investment decisions.
• Support the innovation ecosystem by working with large companies and startups in structured programs.
• Engage in operational work such as business development and marketing within portfolio companies.
