Analyst (Energy and Climate Modeling)

Energy Innovation•Washington, DC
•$80,000 - $100,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Analyst is part of Energy Innovation’s philanthropic research team, which conducts research and analysis to support philanthropic organizations’ grantmaking strategies. The role uses the in-house Energy Policy Simulator (EPS) and other tools to design and analyze energy and climate policy scenarios, interpret results, and communicate findings to philanthropic stakeholders and other partners. The Analyst creates concise written and visual materials, including technical summaries, data visualizations, memos, reports, and presentations. The work combines model development and maintenance, quantitative data analysis, original research on energy and climate policy, and partner communication. The Analyst contributes to project planning and coordination, supports stakeholder relationships, conducts technical reviews, and helps ensure research is rigorous, well documented, and communicated clearly and sensitively. The role is primarily office-based, within a hybrid work environment for employees in San Francisco or Washington, DC.
