About The Position

The Evercore Analyst Program is a two-year program designed to provide highly motivated recent graduates with a representative experience in evaluating and developing capital structure solutions (both credit and equity) for a variety of mandates including strategic alternatives, mergers & acquisitions, and complex financing execution assignments. These mandates are typically executed on behalf of public and private companies, management teams or alternative institutional investors. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a boutique environment and learn on the job. In addition, the Analyst must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard. Analysts will work on a variety of assignments that span the breadth of Evercore’s product and service offerings. Evercore offers highly qualified Analysts the chance to advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than in traditional bulge-bracket firms through exposure to blue-chip clients and senior level management, as well the chance to be part of a fast growing, highly regarded firm.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate – Senior (Class of 2027)
  • Demonstrated excellence in academic coursework and leadership on campus
  • Strong interest in special situations, leveraged finance and minority equity transactions
  • Curiosity in private markets (credit and equity)
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and track record problem solving – independently or as a member of a small team – with a desire to learn more about capital structure and capital allocation
  • Outstanding analytical, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing and achievement-oriented character with a great work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the execution of private capital raise mandates, including managing processes and timelines, preparing investor marketing materials, facilitating investor outreach, facilitating investor due diligence process, return modeling and investor proposal evaluation, and aiding in the negotiating legal documentation (e.g. marketing term sheets, commitment letters, fee letters, warrant agreements and credit agreements)
  • Structure financing commitments for first-time and seasoned sub-investment grade issuers as well as financial sponsor portfolio companies across both debt and structured equity products
  • Support team members in driving client marketing and origination support materials
  • Develop market views across leveraged loans, high-yield and private credit products, and preparation of materials supporting such views for internal and external presentations
  • Liaise and coordinate with industry coverage teams to evaluate and develop capital structure alternatives for client marketing and transaction execution
  • Closely coordinate with industry and M&A bankers, as well as other product functions at Evercore, including Activism / Defense, ECM, Restructuring, Tax Advisory and others, on holistic capital structure advisory mandates
