About The Position

This Analyst role can be filled at the Entry level, Mid-level or Senior level. The primary purpose of this position is to perform advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. The role is responsible for technical decisions and requires excellent knowledge in the functional discipline and its practical application, along with detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (non-engineer) OR Associate's degree in a technical field and 1+ yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years nuclear experience (for Entry Level)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (non-engineer) and 2+ yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR Associate's degree in a technical field and 3+ yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR High School Diploma/GED and a min of 5 years applicable nuclear experience (for Mid-Level)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (non-engineer) and 5 + yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR Associate's degree in a technical field and 7+ yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR High School Diploma/GED and a min of 8 years nuclear experience or related experience of which 5 years should be at the exempt level (for Senior Level)
  • Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area (for Mid-Level and Senior Level)
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in finance and nuclear/power plant systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Provides initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
  • Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles.
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
