About The Position

Jefferies Group LLC is seeking an Analyst to join its Jefferies Equities Data & Intelligence (JEDI) team in New York, NY. The role helps build and maintain the quantitative and data infrastructure that powers trading operations, partnering with traders, sector strategists, and technology teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. It is suited to an energetic, analytically minded individual who wants to apply quantitative skills in a live trading environment and thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++, and experience with data manipulation libraries such as pandas and NumPy.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and command-line tooling.
• Familiarity with core cybersecurity concepts, including TLS/SSL, hashing, encryption, and authentication.
• Solid understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading concepts.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume trading environment with tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Self-starter who takes ownership of deliverables while contributing constructively to a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with financial data platforms such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable trading infrastructure observability platforms for real-time monitoring and operational reliability.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines to automate the ingestion, cleansing, and storage of large-scale, real-time datasets, including market and alternative data.
• Identify, develop, and implement automated quantitative strategies in collaboration with traders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of flow monitoring and analytical tooling.
• Incorporate AI into workflow automation and content generation for internal use and client-facing commentaries.
• Uphold high professional standards and represent Jefferies’ culture of integrity, teamwork, and client-focused execution.
