The analyst will need a good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities, and a high level of knowledge of Securities Settlements and its various functions. The ability to reconcile account differences and issues and articulate them to the proper channels is essential. Excellent communication skills are needed to work with coworkers and internal clients, providing a high level of customer service. The role involves dealing with high volumes of trades to ensure settlement, reducing risk and cost to the firm by escalating potential issues to management, and assisting management with ad hoc requirements. Proficient skills in Windows-based products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel are necessary, as is the ability to multitask in a pressured environment.
