About The Position

This role is built for someone who enjoys tackling real operational challenges and driving continuous improvement through data—while staying close to day-to-day execution. You will take ownership of high-volume transportation flows and translate day-to-day execution into measurable performance, better service, and stronger cost control—working hands-on with carriers, warehouses, internal partners, and key systems. This is a multi-function position with regular interaction across plant operations, shunting operations, logistics, carriers, and corporate KH. Due to the operational nature of the work, availability for escalation situations is expected.

Requirements

  • Bilingual French/English.
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain and Logistics or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in Supply Chain & Logistics in an operational and/or analytical capacity.
  • Understanding of methods for moving goods by air, rail, water, or road, including relative costs and benefits.
  • Strong logic and reasoning to evaluate options and recommend solutions.
  • Mid-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of Access, Visio, Project is beneficial.
  • Able to plan, organize, and prioritize independently across conflicting deadlines.
  • Strong information gathering skills and ability to apply new information to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external business partners.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
  • Bi-lingual French/English is mandatory.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in an analytical role.

Responsibilities

  • Own inbound transportation execution for 30,000 deliveries per year into the Mount Royal plant, ensuring reliable flow and rapid issue resolution.
  • Drive coordination across the network—carriers, 3PL warehouses, suppliers, and the Milton warehouse—so freight moves accurately through the system, including system adjustments when required.
  • Lead outbound transportation support for 14,000 shipments per year to Milton, including trailer pool management and carrier compliance.
  • Improve daily transportation plans by supporting optimization in a Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Manage raw material transportation between third-party storage warehouses and the Mount Royal plant.
  • Maintain yard inventory accuracy and C3 system maintenance to support execution and visibility.
  • Oversee the 3rd-party shunting service, including KPIs, invoice approvals, and damage investigations.
  • Coordinate and track yard movements with Security (ins/outs and movement control).
  • Ensure timely repair and maintenance of the trailer fleet to protect continuity and compliance.
  • Ensure timely issuance of import permits and support import readiness.
  • Coordinate deliveries and customs release with port and airport authorities for imports.
  • Partner with logistics management to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, and minimize cost.
  • Provide analytical support, reporting, and tools to the Supply Chain organization, including S&OP, Customer Service, Procurement, Distribution, and Finance.
  • Support procurement project launches and new business initiatives by managing project plans and providing data analytics.
  • Gather business requirements and develop scorecards, reports, dashboards, and tools that enable better decisions.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs to improve network fluidity and efficiency.
  • Maintain freight rate databases to support cost-effective mode selection.
  • Manage the USA cheese import tracker for customs compliance.
  • Participate actively in transportation bids and contracting (Procurement).
  • Deliver inventory management reporting and support other supply chain/material handling/transportation tasks as needed.
