About The Position

In this position, you will serve as Ford’s global lead for Human Rights and Working Conditions within Supply Chain Sustainability, driving supplier due diligence, risk management, responsible sourcing, sustainability reporting, and compliance with evolving ESG regulations. This role partners across functions and with external stakeholders to advance Ford’s commitment to responsible business practices throughout the value chain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Sustainability, Strategy & Planning, Program Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in supplier risk management, ESG, sustainability, compliance, or responsible sourcing.
  • 2+ years of data management and advanced Excel experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a complex, global business environment.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into effective business processes.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability, human rights, and responsible business practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn and leverage new technologies and digital tools.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability, ESG, responsible sourcing, supplier due diligence, or human rights programs.
  • Experience working on global or cross-regional teams.
  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, supply chain due diligence regulations, and human rights risk management.
  • Experience with supplier audits, corrective action programs, and sustainability assessment tools.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance reporting, analytics, and process efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Ford’s global Human Rights and Working Conditions strategy within Supply Chain Sustainability.
  • Interpret emerging human rights, sustainability, and due diligence regulations, translating requirements into business processes, controls, and reporting.
  • Lead supplier risk assessments, due diligence, audits, corrective actions, and mitigation activities across the supply chain.
  • Drive supplier engagement and capability-building through sustainability assessments, audits, and ESG improvement initiatives.
  • Manage sustainability KPIs, annual reporting, and external performance metric calculations.
  • Develop and maintain global policies, procedures, training, and governance processes.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Legal, Compliance, Sustainability, suppliers, and industry organizations to implement aligned strategies and advance responsible business practices.
  • Support responsible material sourcing programs and address human rights risks throughout the value chain.
  • Lead cross-functional and global working groups to drive execution of sustainability priorities.
