This position is a hybrid role and will be located in our Naperville, Illinois office. Success in this role will materially influence winning with customers and our longterm performance.” -Teija Konttori, VP Strategy & Development, UPM Fibres What you will do Conduct short market analysis of pulp and paper value chains Coordinate and develop market and customer intelligence to sales support to Americas Develop and update regional market intelligence data and communication Analyze sales market intelligence, including customer and segment insights, channel dynamics, and related materials Provide support to sales team with insights Support global commercial strategy development with regional insights Support strategic business development initiatives Assess new market and end-use opportunities and application spaces for UPM Pulp Who you are You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field You have 5 to 7 years' experience in pulp and paper industry, market intelligence and strategy or a related field You have a strong working knowledge of analytical tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs You have a strong working knowledge related to pulp business Strong business-oriented mindset with the ability to link market moves to commercial outcomes This is what we offer to you A meaningful job: We have an inspiring purpose “We renew the everyday for a future beyond fossils”. Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • You have 5 to 7 years' experience in pulp and paper industry, market intelligence and strategy or a related field
  • You have a strong working knowledge of analytical tools, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs
  • You have a strong working knowledge related to pulp business
  • Strong business-oriented mindset with the ability to link market moves to commercial outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Conduct short market analysis of pulp and paper value chains
  • Coordinate and develop market and customer intelligence to sales support to Americas
  • Develop and update regional market intelligence data and communication
  • Analyze sales market intelligence, including customer and segment insights, channel dynamics, and related materials
  • Provide support to sales team with insights
  • Support global commercial strategy development with regional insights
  • Support strategic business development initiatives
  • Assess new market and end-use opportunities and application spaces for UPM Pulp
