About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Analyst in Strategic Analytics who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As an Analyst in Strategic Analytics, you will develop, maintain, and enhance recurring decision-support reporting and dashboards for financial and operational performance, including budget tracking, hospital volumes, productivity, quality metrics, throughput, and trend reporting for executive and operational leadership. You will also monitor and analyze state and federal regulatory policy changes and track organizational performance against regulatory benchmarks and payment models. Additionally, you will maintain and update financial and operational models used to evaluate key business decisions, ensuring assumptions and modeling accurately reflect the business decision being contemplated. You will conduct deep dive analyses that unpack root causes, quantify impact, and recommend clear, actionable solutions. Furthermore, you will translate detailed analytical models into clear executive-level summaries and presentations, highlighting key insights and conclusions for senior leadership decision-making. Finally, you will ensure data definitions, assumptions, and methodologies are documented and consistently applied across dashboards and reports, and collaborate with Data Engineering to define and source data needed for analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent is required
  • A creative and analytic problem solver who can apply skills and knowledge to novel and nuanced business situations.
  • Experience with or demonstrated aptitude for financial modeling, forecasting, pro forma analysis, and decision-support analytics.
  • Understanding of financial and operational metrics, ratios, and statistical concepts, and their application in evaluating business opportunities and performance.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable information and communicate insights clearly for operational and leadership decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred; experience with data visualization and reporting tools is preferred.
  • Strong data visualization skills and the ability to translate data into a story
  • 1 year of healthcare finance, decision support, analytics, or related experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent
  • 0-1 years of business/financial analytics experience preferred. Master ’s-level educational experiences in business/financial analytics qualify
