About The Position

The Analyst, Material Planning Strategy and Analysis position is a key role in running a reliable operation. Through innovative analysis and methodologies, this role has the potential of significant operating cost savings and unrivaled airline operability. Identify Supply Chain inefficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and create innovative solutions by leveraging process improvement, reporting, and tools. Take the lead to present strategic and operational analysis along with recommendations to department leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research or other related field with 3 years related experience
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Ability to shift priorities in a fast paced, dynamic work environment and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in SQL, knowledge/basic experience of data processing/manipulation
  • Ability to extract/analyze large sets of data and make recommendations based on findings
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software including Excel, Power Point, and Teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in airline: operations, supply chain, analytics, or quantitative forecasting methodologies
  • Master’s degree in related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Data Lake
  • Experience with data visualization in Power Bi and Tableau
  • Excellent project management and organization skills, with attention to detail
  • ETL, Python, Snowflake, Alteryx

Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical models and prepare presentations using data visualization software and tools to improve operational performance around aircraft spare parts
  • Improve the operational metrics through design, development and monitoring of results from implemented solutions
  • Collaborate with other departments including Line and Base Planning, Network Planning, Base Material Planning, AOG, and Stores to understand business processes and areas for improvement
  • Create presentations and present findings with recommendations to influence key stakeholders and senior management
  • Develop data tables and pipelines for use in applications and analysis
  • Support other team members and Business Analysts with complex queries, methods, and recommendations
  • Guide users to explain solutions and optimize user experience
