This 12-month contract role, reporting to the Manager, Settlement and Structured Transactions (S&STG), is responsible for the settlement of energy market trades and long-term contracts. The Analyst will ensure daily and monthly settlement tasks are completed accurately, validate accounting entries for month-end accruals and invoices according to organizational standards, and understand energy market settlement algorithms to improve validation processes. The role also involves understanding the corporate structure for revenue and charge allocation, researching market rules impacting settlement, analyzing and improving current settlement processes, and preparing regulatory reports. Collaboration with various departments for data accuracy, participation in systems improvement projects including User Acceptance Testing, and resolving settlement disputes with external counterparties are key aspects of the position. The Analyst will also provide daily activity updates to the Manager, S&STG.
