About The Position

JD Power is seeking a Sales Commissions Analyst to support the administration, execution, and analysis of our sales commission programs. This role will help ensure incentive plans are processed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with business and go-to-market objectives. This role sits within the Revenue Operations organization and reports directly to the Director, Compensation & Sales Performance Management (SPM) Administrator. As JD Power continues to evolve and scale its commercial operations, this role offers the opportunity to help strengthen and modernize the company’s sales compensation processes, reporting, and systems. The Analyst will play a key role in improving operational efficiency, enhancing data visibility, and supporting scalable incentive compensation practices across a growing organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Payroll and HR and Revenue Operations. This role will also support commission reporting, system maintenance, and ongoing process improvements within our incentive compensation environment.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in sales compensation, commissions administration, revenue operations, finance, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience working with incentive compensation systems such as Varicent, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, Callidus, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Process-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive compensation data.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within Sales Compensation and Revenue Operations.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Data accuracy obsession: you check your own work, document your methodology, flag data limitations proactively, and never let a bad number reach a stakeholder without a caveat.
  • Clear written communicator: able to annotate analysis with plain-English insights, write concise report commentary, and explain what a metric means - not just what it is.
  • Highly organized and reliable: you manage a recurring reporting calendar, meet deadlines consistently, and proactively communicate when something is delayed or uncertain.
  • Curious and self-directed: you ask why numbers look the way they do, follow threads that seem off, and bring findings to the Director of Revenue Operations without waiting to be asked.

  • Experience supporting SaaS, subscription, or high-growth sales organizations is a plus.
