About The Position

The Analyst is responsible for designing, coordinating, and executing regulatory workflows across the New England legal team, including filings, discovery, and docket management. The role owns how this work is delivered through structured workflows, digital tools, and AI-enabled processes. This role combines production execution with design and ownership of regulatory workflows, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and at scale. It is central to enabling a modern, digitally supported delivery model for the legal function, allowing attorneys to focus on legal judgment and advocacy. This is not an attorney or paralegal role, and a law degree or prior legal experience is not required. The position is intended for someone who is interested in helping a legal department operate more efficiently through workflow design, process improvement, coordination, and data-informed support. This role may be a strong fit for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is organized, analytical, comfortable with technology, and interested in improving how complex work gets done.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in business, data analytics, public policy, legal studies, operations, or a related field preferred
  • Entry-level candidates and candidates with a few years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply; experience through internships, academic projects, prior employment, or process/data-focused work will be considered
  • Prior experience in a legal department, law firm, regulatory environment, or utility/energy setting is helpful but not required
  • Familiarity with regulatory or other structured filing, reporting, or compliance processes is helpful but not required
  • Strong organizational and execution skills in deadline-driven environments
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows and stakeholders simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to identify issues and improve processes
  • Clear communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute regulatory filings, discovery responses, and docket deliverables across multiple proceedings
  • Manage high-volume information requests, including intake, tracking, and compilation of responses
  • Maintain filing calendars, deadlines, and submission requirements
  • Coordinate inputs across legal, business, and subject matter experts
  • Design and manage workflows, templates, and playbooks that support consistent, scalable delivery across the team
  • Use digital tools and AI within regulatory workflows to improve speed, consistency, and quality
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive or process-driven tasks
  • Standardize workflows and reduce reliance on manual work and external support
  • Improve processes over time based on experience, feedback, and workload patterns
  • Track workload volume across filings, discovery, and active matters
  • Monitor timelines and workflow performance to identify bottlenecks
  • Support prioritization of work based on deadlines, volume, and business needs
  • Provide reporting to improve visibility into workload and delivery
  • Collect, organize, and analyze workload, filing, discovery, and matter data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and process improvement opportunities
  • Develop dashboards, trackers, summaries, and other outputs that help attorneys and legal leadership manage work more effectively
  • Serve as a coordination point across legal, business, and external stakeholders and communicate timelines and requirements
