About The Position

As a Quality Analyst, Sr you will participate in quality activities of the business unit in order to improve the processes, procedures, methods and materials used in the repair and overhaul of aero-engines, components and other related processes to ensure product quality is maintained while striving for continuous improvements. This includes creation and facilitation of CAR, performing and participating in Internal and External Audits, leading and participating in incident investigations, reviewing and creating process improvements, reviewing and updating work instructions and developing tools to help ensure compliance to required technical and regulatory processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be certified in AS9100, or AS9110 or ISO 9001
  • 5 years work experience in Quality Assurance or equivalent 
  • 5 years work experience in quality methodologies for implementation in support of business unit strategic initiatives.
  • 3 years work experience in PowerBI and Microsoft suites
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering or similar technical field of Study or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5-year work experience in Aviation or MRO 
  • 3 years’ experience in identifying and reporting flight/product safety concerns
  • Participate in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety for critical parts and processes

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor quality data (warranty, product rectification, customer satisfaction, etc.) for improvement opportunities across the business unit.  Work with the business unit strategic group to select, manage, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the maintenance of methods and systems for measuring the degree by which the business unit’s quality goals, objectives and standards are being met. 
  • Participate in the business unit quality audits and corrective action process by providing training, facilitation, recommendations and leadership, as required, to achieve optimal results. 
  • Monitor, review and conduct sub-contractor audits in liaison with supplier development.
  • Interface with marketing, operations and engineering to establish quality requirements on individual products and services on the basis of customer needs, the fit, form and function of the product, and to ensure that quality considerations are properly addressed as early as possible in the product or process design stage.
  • Monitor warranty procedures including investigation, root-cause, corrective action and follow-up to ensure that continuous improvement is occurring.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, remanufacturing problems, statistical trends, and proposed process changes.
