About The Position

We support clients through strategic advice, market analysis, transformation, transaction services, and sustainability consulting. With 650+ consultants across 43 offices in 26 countries, supported by 17,000 AFRY experts, we help clients solve business-critical challenges. In North America, AFRY operates from New York, Appleton, Birmingham, Houston, and Montreal. This role will support strategic and operational consulting projects across the pulp, paper, packaging, and tissue sectors. The analyst will develop presentations, reports, databases, and analytical models to generate client insights, and conduct market, cost, and financial analysis to support strategy, due diligence, M&A, and performance improvement work. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues from US and global offices and presenting findings to clients in a collaborative, international environment.

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States
  • Strong academic background in economics, finance, engineering, STEM, or a related field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Interest in consulting and the pulp and paper industry
  • Proficiency in MS Office and English required

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant internship or early experience is a plus
  • Additional languages or programming skills are a plus
  • Self-starter with a client-focused mindset who works well in teams and under deadlines
