About The Position

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is a global leader in the quick-service restaurant industry, managing over 5,000 properties worldwide for its brands including Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs. This position, reporting to the Sr. Property Manager, Burger King Development & Franchising, will focus on the day-to-day financial and operational aspects of approximately 500 Burger King properties within a specific geographic region, covering about 1.5 million square feet.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Property Management or Lease Administration related roles.
  • Degree in business, finance, accounting, or real estate.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to influence a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams, particularly cross-functional ones.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage uncertainty.
  • Experience working with a ticketing system to organize work and manage timeliness and quality of service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience with SAP or lease management software (Tango, Yardi, Lucernex, Costar).
  • CPM or RPM designation.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison and escalation point between Landlords and BK Franchisees to resolve site maintenance and property financial issues (Rent/CAM).
  • Respond to Franchisee inquiries regarding property management and lease matters.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Municipalities concerning violations, permits, liens, or other property-related concerns.
  • Reconcile accounts and work on collections of bad debt.
  • Coordinate recurring inspections and maintenance for the vacant property portfolio and address urgent issues such as vandalism, vagrancy, or illegal dumping.
  • Facilitate concerns related to property taxes, insurance, and utilities in coordination with Lease Administration and the Insurance department.
  • Collaborate with the Legal department on escalated property operational or financial disputes.
  • Communicate and problem-solve with Landlords, Franchisees, external vendors, and Municipalities on various real estate matters arising in daily operations.
  • Work closely with internal departments including Asset Management, Lease Administration, Development, Legal, Finance, and Accounting.
  • Manage requests primarily through a work order ticketing system (Freshdesk).
