About The Position

The Price and Promotions Analyst is responsible for developing and managing base and promotional pricing strategies across a defined group of product categories to drive profitable sales growth. This role involves conducting in-depth pricing analyses, identifying trends and variances, and delivering actionable insights to optimize revenue and margin performance. Possessing strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, and Finance teams.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of analytical experience with large sets of data
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Proficient in MSL Office Suite (Excel, PPT, Word) and Power BI
  • Balances workload and priorities
  • Proven success with analytical interpretation of complex data sets
  • Effective and concise communication and presentation skills
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Experience with accounting terminology and understanding of profit and loss (P&L) structure concepts, including the ability to analyze financial statements, and apply these principles in various business scenarios.

  • Exposure to syndicated/competitive data (e.g. Nielsen, Circana) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish base and promotional pricing for a specific grouping of categories that deliver the brand strategy to the shelf and achieve targets for sales, margin and units.
  • Conduct (daily) base and promotional pricing analysis to evaluate and optimize product pricing strategies, inclusive of processing cost changes to maintain gross margin.
  • Provide recommendations based on pricing analysis to enhance revenue and margin performance.
  • Monitor performance of the base and promotional pricing plan
  • Collaborates with the Price and Promo Brand Team and external partners on pricing tool and leverage to full use
  • Detect, research, and correct data errors within the product hierarchy.
  • Guide category team to ensure accuracy, timely completion and alignment to category strategy for promotional activity.
