About The Position
This position in the Valuation Advisory & Risk Solutions (VARS) department is an integral member of a team that provides valuations as a service to a client base that includes investment managers, depository institutions, and lenders. Asset classes covered include residential whole loans, consumer whole loans, structured finance securities, and other related fixed income assets. The successful applicant to this role will assist colleagues in performing valuations, maintaining valuation models, and other operational tasks as needed, while expanding their knowledge of the fundamentals of valuation and developing competencies in diverse asset classes. This role requires in office two days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
- Zero to three years of relevant experience in valuations, investments, or related roles
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including strong skills in Excel
- Basic understanding of relevant financial and fixed-income topics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Coursework or industry experience in data analysis or programming languages preferred
Responsibilities
- Works with colleagues to produce valuation analyses for clients as needed with a high degree of competency, integrity, and customer service
- Assist in the maintenance of valuation models and data sets as needed
- Execute other operational tasks as directed, which may include maintaining research documents, tracking team workflow, client communications, and project management related to technology initiatives
- Manages and executes certain projects independently
