The Analyst, Portfolio Management is an individual contributor responsible for supporting the Portfolio Management team in their financial analysis and preparation of underwriting documents to support multimillion-dollar corporate credit requests that grow funded assets and Key's client base, while maintaining asset quality within a moderate risk profile. These requests include obtaining initial approval for new credit exposure (e.g., revolving credit facilities, term loans, leases, foreign exchange products, derivatives products, and other ancillary products) and amendments to existing exposure. The Analyst also assists the team with ongoing credit monitoring and risk rating of corporate clients and gathering and supporting the review of legal documentation. This individual should demonstrate emerging leadership skills within credit underwriting and portfolio management; they may work independently on assigned tasks, but generally under the supervision of other Portfolio Managers (PMs) on a deal team. As part of the first line of defense, Analyst PMs are expected to consistently demonstrate a solutions-oriented, growth mindset that is supportive of line of business goals while still maintaining a moderate risk appetite and upholding asset quality. This position will support KeyBank’s KEF Portfolio Monitoring Group and KEF Underwriting. The KEF Portfolio Monitoring Group completes annual reviews and other portfolio monitoring activities on a large portfolio consisting of municipal borrowers, vendor deals, solar panel transactions, and commercial and industrial (C&I) equipment loans. KEF Underwriting analyzes the underlying borrower, recommends structures for lease/loan financing for middle market and large corporate clients, and creates credit approval documents which are the basis for credit adjudication. This role may assist other teams as needed.
