About The Position

The International Middle Office Associate provides support to two trading desks, the Fidelity Capital Markets International Equity Trading Desk and the Fidelity Foreign Exchange Trading Desk. This role involves becoming experienced in middle office support for international equity, assisting traders with issues, supervising and facilitating trade allocations, trade configurations and input, and troubleshooting P and S and settlement problems by researching, taking corrective actions and solving root cause. The position is the primary contact for electronic order flow exceptions for the international equity trading desk. Responsibilities also include confirming the financial details of all foreign exchange trades and settling them to the appropriate banking instructions, requiring direct phone and electronic contact with various internal and external parties. Daily reconciliation of FX foreign currency accounts and investigation/resolution of open accounting items are also key. Efficient communication of pertinent information within the team and to external parties is crucial for operating in a 24-hour environment. A full understanding of the order and trade lifecycle, including systems that facilitate it, is necessary. The role also involves participating in requirement gathering, testing, and implementation for projects related to foreign exchange and international equity.

Self-motivated and able to operate as part of a dynamic team.
Excellent digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excel macro aptitude is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree.
2-3 years of brokerage or trade support experience.
FINRA Brokerage licenses 7, 63 required.
FINRA Brokerage license 24 preferred.
Ability to effectively operate in a 24x6 environment, including holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

Gain a full understanding of the order and trade lifecycle and the systems that facilitate it.
Participate in requirement gathering, testing, and implementation for foreign exchange and international equity projects.
