About The Position

The Radiology IT Analyst 2 is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of assigned Radiology IT systems and software, supporting over 15 applications. This role involves daily communication, application monitoring and maintenance, understanding clinical operations, and collaborating with vendors, project teams, clinical representatives, and end users to customize systems to meet organizational needs. The analyst will perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and technical issues. Responsibilities include developing and documenting internal procedures, designing, building, testing, installing, training, and maintaining solutions. The role also supports modality connectivity, installation of radiology applications and workstations, and uses critical thinking to provide systems solutions for business needs.

Requirements

  • Effective oral and written communication and follow-up skills.

  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimal implementation and/or support experience desired.
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science.
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the organizations Core Values and incorporate them into the performance of duties.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the organization Service Standards and incorporate them into the performance of duties.
  • Work with Application Managers/Directors/etc. and the entire Project Team, to collect, analyze and document business operations and workflow.
  • Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve the completion of tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with vendors using appropriate tools.
  • Troubleshoot problems and address questions from users, and provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
  • Review and test changes, enhancements, and each new release as assigned.
  • With support, create, review, and update test scripts to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
  • Analyze data conversion needs.
  • Analyze new functionality in new releases to identify impact.
  • Develop an understanding of interface requirements and testing.
  • Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades.
  • Assist with all quality assurance processes, including change management and testing efforts.
  • Actively participate and contribute in meetings as assigned.
  • Work with radiologists/technologists and operational users to support their workflows and troubleshoot issues.
  • Incorporate patient safety factors in clinical design.
  • Ensure the test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions.
  • Support the training team by keeping trainers abreast of new functionality and system changes.
  • Communicate effectively across all impacted teams associated with task assignments.
  • Participate in disaster recovery measures.
  • Act as an application lead, responsible for working with vendors, colleagues and users to ensure application is performing as needed, and planning and participating in and leading maintenance and upgrade activities.
  • Must be available to assist colleagues in troubleshooting application issues requiring escalation as needed, especially during off-hours.
